How long have you been in the construction industry?

I have worked in the industry for the past 43 years starting at the age of 17 at Wheal Jane Mine, where I was involved in projects both above and below ground.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

I enjoy problem solving and the interaction with other team members and supply chain. Whilst I have witnessed considerable changes within the industry, I still believe it is a positive and rewarding place to work. 

Career highlight or project that you are most proud of?

In truth, there are too many projects to list but schemes such as Penwith College, Heartlands and Kingsley Village were amongst the most fulfilling. I take pride in knowing that I can drive anywhere in Cornwall and usually pass a project that I worked on. 

What is your passion outside of work?

Whilst I love to travel, at home I am a keen fish keeper and also enjoy fishing, kayaking and coastal walking.
